Tom is an active investor and advisor in the Biotech space. He was a co-founder of Hyperion Bioscience Inc – an early-stage ophthalmology start-up which was sold in under a year. He works as a biotech consultant as part of Celero Bioventures LLC.
Previously, Tom was the founder and President of Egan Tax & Books Ltd – a boutique NYC tax advisory firm for HNW individuals and businesses. He was a co-founder and VP of business development of ShopExpert.com. Tom traded equities and derivatives as an options market maker on the floor of the Chicago Board of Options Exchange.
Tom is a licensed attorney in NY and IL. He holds a BA from Villanova University and a JD, MBA, and LLM from Washington University in St. Louis and is a Certified Financial Planner certificant. Tom was previously an adjunct professor in the Accountancy Department at the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College, CUNY.
